Mandatory Vaccination
The subject of interest to me this week is “the mandatory vaccination for children and health care workers”. I do not think that mandatory vaccination is unethical, and I believe it should be required that all children, healthcare workers be vaccinated; because the refusal of significant numbers of parents to vaccinate their children has created a sizable group of people needing very much to... Autonomy
The Meaning of Autonomy The English word autonomy is a compound of the Greek word autos meaning “self” or ”own,” and nomos , meaning “law.” Thus, in the original Greek, autonomy has the sense of (to give to) oneself one's laws, or perhaps, to make one's laws knowing that one is doing so. Contemporary usage of the word autonomy emerged in the eighteenth century, retaining a relation to the original Greek... (posted by Rose-Marie Chaperon 241 days 9 hours ago.)

Confidentiality of Information in Newborn Genetics Testing
The subject of interest to me this week is the privacy and confidentiality regarding genetics information in newborn testing. Identifying genetic factors that could reliably predict health risks for individuals has the potential to bring great health benefits, both for the individuals concerned and for health-care providers. The way newborns genetics information is handled and distributed is of... (posted by Rose-Marie Chaperon 263 days 3 hours ago.)

Assisted Suicide
Assisted suicide is one subject most people would disagree with due to religious belief. They were born and raised learning that life has intrinsic value, and it should be protected no matter the cost. It is understandable, though tragic, that some patients in extreme duress such as those suffering from a terminal, painful, debilitating illness may come to decide that death is preferable to life. In my opinion assisted suicide is wrong... (posted by Rose-Marie Chaperon 274 days 8 hours ago.)

The Ethical Issue With Encephalic Babies and Organ Donation
Conceiving a child with anencephaly can bring up some ethical issues that parents might not have ever previously considered in their lives and while deciding to get conceive. Or, even if they have considered the issues, these issues may not have been truly meaningful to them until they were forced to confront them through an anencephalic pregnancy or after birth. Although previously, I may... (posted by Rose-Marie Chaperon 274 days 8 hours ago.)

Today assisted reproduction techniques are widely available due to the advancement medical technology in the US and other countries around the world. Children may be conceived through artificial insemination, either through use of the prospective father’s sperm or sperm from a donor, who may be either known or anonymous. The procedure itself is very expensive, especially if the mother to be does not have a... (posted by Rose-Marie Chaperon 274 days 9 hours ago.)
